You will be based at one of the following locations, but working in the community:

Stafford, Worcester, Shropshire, Hereford

Changes Health and Wellbeing are currently looking for motivated and skilled individuals to work alongside North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust. Working as part of a new service, it will be your role to provide lived experience, emotional support, practical strategies and tools to enable service users to recognise, understand and manage factors that affect their mental wellbeing and physical health.

This service aims to add value, purpose, and direction in people’s lives. 

Peer Recovery Coaches

£19,918 p.a. (for 37.5 hours per week)

Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffs

Peer Recovery Coaches must have personal experience, or experience with working with at least one of the following: i) Mental health; (ii) Learning disabilities; (iii) Substance misuse;

(iv) Criminal behaviour; (v) Other psychosocial area

The Peer Worker must also be abstinent from all illicit substances, in active recovery for a minimum of 6 months and not to have been involved in offending for at least 12 months.

This is an excellent opportunity to put your unique personal experiences to use and enrich the lives of others with your knowledge. The role may lead to future opportunities within the service (subject to funding and availability of roles)

The Peer Worker will be based at venues across Stoke on Trent and North Staffordshire Primary Care Networks. Localised travel throughout Stoke-on-Trent and surrounds will be an essential element of this role.

This position is until 31st March 2024 and may be extended subject to funding.

Changes Health and Wellbeing are currently looking for motivated and skilled individuals to work alongside Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust. Working as part of a new service, Future Focus Support Serviceyou will be based within MPFT Integrated Mental Health Teams at locations around Cannock and Rugeley, Stafford and Seisdon, to provide person-centred and accessible recovery focussed support to those with severe and enduring mental illness.

This new service aims to be flexible and to ensure no-one falls through the cracks

Wellbeing Support Workers x2

£19,994 p.a. (for 37.5 hours per week)

Based at either Park House, 12 Park Road, Cannock, WS11 1JN

Or

The Hub, 17 Eastgate Street, Stafford, ST16 2LZ

Personal lived experience of mental health would be a useful element to bring to these roles – though it is not an essential requirement.

The position will require in-work travel; your own vehicle and driving licence would be advantageous (in work travel expenses are provided).

All positions are initially for a fixed term until 31st March 2025 – though may be extended subject to the success of the service and future funding.

Changes Health and Wellbeing are currently looking for motivated and skilled individuals working as part of a NHS service Liaison and Diversion. It will be your role as peer worker to support the mental wellbeing and act as a mentor for those within the criminal justice system and divert them away from the criminal behaviour.

Liaison and Diversion (L&D) is not itself a treatment service, but it is an identification, assessment and short term support service. The Peer work role would be providing short term support to vulnerable individuals upon leaving Custody or Court, where further support is required.  

Working as part of the L&D team the post holder will be responsible for working closely with the individual to prioritise need and plan actions to address identified need. This may include supporting an individual to make a referral to a specific service and support the individual to attend the initial appointment with that service.

Peer Worker x 6

£19,056 p.a. (for 37 hours per week)

There are 6 posts available, which are based in one of the following areas, the post is working in the community.

Stafford, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Hereford

Lived Experience:

Have you had personal experience of the criminal justice system, have you had substance misuse issues?

Or maybe you have lived experience of mental or emotional distress or illness? 

Then we are keen to hear from you. Using your lived experience you can support and empathize with individuals that are experiencing difficulties in their life – using your own experience and recovery to help others!

Essential:

  • You will need to have your own personal experience of the criminal justice system (at a minimum arrested) and personal experience with mental health, learning disabilities, substance misuse or another vulnerability.

  • Must also be abstinent from all illicit substances, in active recovery for a minimum of 6 months and not to have been involved in offending for at least 12 months.

  • Have a full UK driving license and access to own vehicle is essential to this role as the Peer Worker will be working across a wide geographical area.

This position is ideal for someone who has been out of work for a while and want to take
