Peer Worker

Changes Health and Wellbeing are currently looking for motivated and skilled individuals to work alongside The Midland Partnership Foundation Trust in an exciting new service!

Working as part of the new Liaison and Diversion service, it will be your role to support the mental wellbeing and act as a mentor for those within the criminal justice system. 

This service aims to add value, purpose and direction to people’s lives.

Peer Worker

The Peer Workers need to have personal experience of the criminal justice system (at a minimum arrested) and personal experience within mental health, learning disabilities, substance misuse or another vulnerability.  The Peer Worker must also be abstinent from all illicit substances, in active recovery for a minimum of 6 months and not to have been involved in offending for at least 12 months.

The Peer Worker will be based in Telford/Shrewsbury, but will work throughout Shropshire.

This is a fixed-term position until the 31st March 2022, however this may be extended by an extra 12-months subject to funding.
